The Hotel Casamara is located in the heart of Playa Del Carmen’s La Quinta (Fifth Avenue) district, the intimate rooms of Hotel Casamara are nestled in a lush tropical oasis filled with over 100 varieties of indigenous trees, plants, vines, orchids and bromiliads.

Playa del Carmen offers a unique range of activities and experiences including snorkeling, scuba diving, wind surfing, golf, para-sailing, fishing, sky diving, horseback riding, kayaking, beach, etc.

The measurements of this property are15 meters (49.2 feet) wide and 41 meters (134.5) feet deep totaling 615 sq. meters or 6,619 sq ft. The property is fully titled and owned outright with no debt or encumbrances. We are located on Calle 14 between 5th Avenue, the main tourist walkway, and 10th Avenue, one and a half blocks from the beach. Casamara Hotel and Apartments is a property that originally began building in 1998. At that time six apartments and one store were finished. We also added an underground, 22,000 gallon (84,000 liter) fresh water storage cistern. Additional construction added two more stores and two more stories to the owner’s unit. At this time there are 3 concrete block, one bedroom apartments, a one bedroom palapa roofed apartment and a palapa roofed studio apartment. These units comprise the rentals.

The apartment has two mini-split air conditioners for staying cool in the summers, cable TV, a high speed DSL internet connection, pressurized water system, hammock hooks for those afternoon siestas, and many other features.

All of the other apartments are either hard wired for high speed Internet or can pick up our wireless signal. Each of the units has a color TV with cable connection. The concrete apartments are all air-conditioned and all of the units have multiple ceiling fans to keep the air moving and the rooms fresh. The bathrooms are all tiled and kept spotless. Each of the one-bedroom units is approx. 450 square feet. They have full kitchens with plenty of closet and storage space.

Additionally, the exterior of the property features two fountains, one medium and one large, courtyards and walkways bordered by garden stripes featuring over 100 varieties of plants and an assortment of large trees including one extremely large 200+ year old banyan style tree known as an Alamo or Copo. The property has also been filled with over 30 varieties of orchids and bromeliads. The rear area of the property is over 1,300 sq. ft in size and has a raised area of approx. 150 sq. ft. for outdoor dining and entertaining as well as three locations of hammock hooks so multiple people can relax and enjoy the fountain /waterfall, songbirds and tranquility at once. A medium sized swimming pool could be added to this rear area for another guest benefit. A well with submersible pump is found in this rear area as well to provide water for the gardens, etc.

The three retail stores facing the street are each approx 325 square feet and have been rented from the day they were finished. They are air conditioned and wired for the Internet. There is a full bathroom available for the 3 retail shops.

There is also a work and laundry room with washer and dryer plus storage for hotel supplies. There are 3 more bodegas (storage) areas on the property for tools, garden supplies, etc.
